Picoin separates computation infrastructure into:

#### L1 — Science Compute Coordination

The Picoin L1 handles:

* staking;
* reputation;
* reserve accounting;
* treasury governance;
* job registration;
* compute accounting;
* validator approvals;
* audit coordination.

The L1 does not execute heavy AI or scientific workloads.

#### Future L2 — Scientific Compute Marketplace

The future L2 will execute:

* AI inference;
* scientific jobs;
* GPU workloads;
* distributed compute tasks.

The L2 will later communicate proofs and accounting back to the L1.
